This policy explains how Maker uses cookies and similar technologies on the Maker marketing site, the Admin, and the storefronts we power. Merchants may set their own cookies on their storefronts in addition to the ones described here; check the merchant's own policy for those.

What cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the service to function. These can't be turned off.

• Session and authentication — keep you signed in to the Admin or to a storefront account (Better Auth, first-party).
• CSRF tokens — prevent cross-site request forgery on state-changing endpoints.
• Cart — remembers what a shopper has added before checkout (first-party, storefront only).
• Stripe checkout — required by our payment processor (Stripe, third-party) during card entry.

Functional

Remember preferences so the product feels less repetitive.

• Admin layout — sidebar state, recently-viewed stores, dashboard widget order.
• Recently viewed — shown on some storefronts if the merchant enabled it.

Analytics

We collect privacy-preserving, aggregated analytics on the Maker marketing site and in the Admin. We do not set analytics cookies on merchant storefronts unless the merchant opts in.

Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies via the settings. Refusing strictly-necessary cookies will break the Admin (you won't stay signed in) and checkout.

Changes

If we add a new category of cookie or a new third-party service, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before setting the cookie.
